We believe that each student is a unique individual with different talents, ideas, desires, and needs. Our goal is to help students see the college application process as the first step in an exciting journey of growth and self-discovery. As a result, our services are highly individualized and tailored to each student.

To offer maximum flexibility, we accommodate both in-person meetings and online appointments via Zoom.

Comprehensive Program

Our comprehensive program can begin as early as sophomore year and as late as mid-junior year, and lasts until the end of the application cycle in the spring of senior year. Program services include:

  • Academic Coaching
  • Review the student’s transcript and strategize ways to strengthen profile
  • Discuss individual classes and develop strategies to address learning issues
  • Refer students to academic tutors as necessary
  • Plan future coursework and plot academic tracks
  • Extracurricular Profile Review
  • Complete a comprehensive activities resume
  • Review students’ extracurricular activities and suggest options for enhancing the resume
  • Plan summer activities
  • Coordinate extracurricular activities to supplement academic interests
  • Standardized Test Strategies
  • Strategize timeline for taking standardized tests
  • Discuss standardized test options (ACT vs. SAT, Subject Tests, etc.)
  • Refer students to top standardized test tutors as necessary
  • School Selection
  • Compile an appropriate college list, continually updated throughout the process
  • Research colleges and specific majors
  • Plan college tours
  • Help students choose which college to attend
  • Application Management

Hourly Ad Hoc Consulting

For those students who can manage the application process on their own, but need help with specific components, we schedule individual one-on-one sessions on an hourly basis.  Services include:

Application Management

  • Organize all materials related to the college application process
  • Develop timelines for the application process, include strategizing for Early Action and Early Decision applications
  • Brainstorm topics for personal statements and essays
  • Edit essays and ensure that all components of the applications tell a comprehensive story
  • Complete the Common Application and individual school supplements
  • Complete all other applications on time
  • Proofread all applications
  • Monitor sending of supplementary materials, including transcripts, test score reports, etc.
  • Prepare students for on campus and alumni interviews
  • Assist with recommendation process according to high school’s requirements
  • Help students meet deadlines for scholarships, auditions, financial aid, interviews, etc.
  • Offer any other necessary services, including exploring services for students with learning differences, appealing admission decisions if necessary, offering advice for waitlisted students
  • Complete arts or athletics supplements as applicable

Comprehensive Programs

For students who would like continual support throughout the application process, we offer comprehensive programs that are specifically tailored according to the needs of the individual.

Our most popular program is designed for students who begin to think about college during their junior year of high school.  This program typically encompasses all of the services listed above, begins mid-way through junior year, and lasts until the end of the application cycle mid-way through senior year.

For those students who begin to think about college during their sophomore year or earlier, we also offer an additional pre-program that emphasizes developing a strong academic and extracurricular profile to enhance the college application process.

Finally, for those students who begin to look at colleges during their senior year, we offer a condensed version of our consulting program that emphasizes Application Management services.
